Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is seeking a dedicated Youth Disability Worker to support young people with disabilities in 24/7 SIL environments across Inala, Goodna and Calamvale. Under a Case Manager, you will deliver person-centred support to build independence, wellbeing and life skills, in a trauma-informed framework.

Key duties include daily living support, medication administration, education and employment assistance, and facilitating community participation while maintaining safe, respectful home

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Certificate IV (or studying) in Youth Work, Community Services or related field.

Responsibilities

As a Youth Disability Worker with #TeamPossible, you will support young people with disability who are engaged with the child protection system within 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.

Working under the guidance of a Case Manager, you will deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive life outcomes.

What You Can Bring to the Team

Your experience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills will be invaluable in supporting young people as they transition into adulthood.

We're looking for people who have:

• Minimum Certificate IV (or currently studying) in a relevant discipline, with Youth Work, Community Services, Human Services, or related qualifications highly regarded
• Previous experience as a Youth Worker within a disability setting
• Understanding and experience in trauma-informed practice
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals and aspirations

You must also hold, or be willing to obtain:

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
• Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work)
• Open Driver's Licence and comprehensive vehicle insurance
