Job summary

Melton City Council is recruiting a Youth Strategy and Compliance Officer to join the Child, Families & Youth unit. You will lead governance, policy development, risk management and continuous improvement to support service delivery for children, youth and families across Melton.

This role reports to the Coordinator Young Communities and requires collaboration with internal and external partners. The position offers a Band 7 salary, a strong benefits package, and a supportive, inclusive

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in community services, public policy, governance or related discipline.
• Experience in strategic planning, compliance and continuous improvement within local government or youth services.
• Ability to lead service evaluation, performance measurement and reporting using data to inform decisions.
• Must hold or obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and review of policies, procedures, governance frameworks and risk management systems
• Lead compliance, service evaluation, performance measurement and reporting requirements.
• Provide strategic advice on governance, policy, risk, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships across Council, government, community organisations, youth service providers and other stakeholders.
