Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Mildura is seeking an Admissions Officer to coordinate youth justice admissions, manage processes and systems that support young people entering our precincts, and help maintain a safe environment for staff and the community.

The role focuses on accurate CRIS data entry, record integrity, and transferring admissions between Cherry Creek and Malmsbury Youth Justice Precincts, with a fully funded Certificate IV in Youth Justice as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative and data entry skills.
• Understanding of the Youth Justice CRIS system would be highly regarded.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours of young people.
• Ability to create a safe and rehabilitative environment for young people.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions processes and technology systems for Youth Justice precincts.
• Maintain accurate CRIS data entry and ensure record quality and integrity.
• Coordinate transfers of young people between Cherry Creek and Malmsbury Youth Justice Precincts, including court admissions.
• Support staff and respond to changes in priorities to keep precincts running smoothly.
• Complete the Certificate IV in Youth Justice as part of the role (fully funded).
