Job summary

headspace Lithgow is seeking a Youth Care Coordinator to support young people on their mental health journey. You’ll conduct psychosocial assessments, provide evidence-based interventions, and work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care within the centre.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in psychology, social work, OT, nursing, drug and alcohol work, youth work, mental health, or other relevant fields for providing clinical interventions.
• Experience in conducting clinical assessments of young people facing mental health or substance use challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and screenings for young people referred to headspace Lithgow.
• Foster long-term engagement with clients, ensuring they receive the care they need.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to drive the ongoing success of the centre.
• Advocate for young people’s needs and coordinate their care across services.
• Get involved in building community awareness, education, and training initiatives.
