Job summary

headspace Orange in Wiradjuri Country is seeking a Youth Care Coordinator to be the first point of contact for young people accessing our services. This full-time role offers opportunities to conduct psychosocial assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions, tailored to each young person’s needs.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support ongoing engagement, coordinate care, and contribute to community education and training.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification or current study in mental health fields.
• Experience conducting clinical assessments of youth.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

What will you do?

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and screenings for young people referred to headspace
• Foster long-term engagement with clients, ensuring they receive the care they need
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to drive the ongoing success of the centre
• Advocate for young people’s needs and coordinate their care across servicesGet involved in building community awareness, education, and training initiatives

What do you need?

• Qualifications in (or working towards) psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, drug and alcohol work, youth work, mental health, or other relevant fields for providing clinical interventions
• Experience in conducting clinical assessments of young people facing mental health or drug and alcohol challenges
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with young people
• A solid understanding of technology and clinical software packages
