Job summary

Ballarat Community Health, as the lead agency for headspace Ballarat, is seeking a Youth Worker to support young people aged 12-25 through intake, psychosocial assessment and short-term interventions. You will help young people feel welcome and connected to the services they need, working with families, schools and community services.

The role focuses on intake, assessment, brief interventions, and maintaining accurate case notes.

Qualifications

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Welfare, Social Work or a related field.
• Experience supporting young people in community, health or social service settings.

• hold a tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Welfare, Social Work or a related field
• are experienced supporting young people in community, health or social service settings.

Your new role

You'll support young people aged 12-25 as they access headspace Ballarat, helping them feel welcome and supported from the moment they connect with the service.

The role focuses on intake and psychosocial assessment, providing brief interventions or short-term support, and connecting young people with the services that best meet their needs.

You'll work closely with colleagues, families, schools and community services, and contribute to group programs, workshops and outreach activities.

As part of working in a funded service, you'll also maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
