Job summary

National Mobile Camps Operations is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor based in Condamine, Queensland, to oversee yard operations and support field-based camp activities across our projects.

You will coordinate rig-up, rig-down, mobilisation and demobilisation, maintain safety and compliance, manage assets, and liaise with clients, contractors and operational teams to ensure readiness. This role combines site supervision with regular site visits.

Qualifications

• Qualification or equivalent experience in Camp Field Operations or Camp Management.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• 4WD training or willingness to obtain.
• WHS awareness and field-based experience.
• Industry inductions/certifications are advantageous.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee NMC's yard operations and support field-based camp activities across our operational projects.

Reporting to the Maintenance & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and managing assets for mobilisation, overseeing camp operations across field sites, and coordinating rig-up, rig-down, mobilisation and demobilisation activities. You will play a key role in maintaining safety, compliance and operational readiness across both yard and field environments.

Based in Condamine, this role combines yard supervision with regular visits to camp sites.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage camp and site office assets to support mobilisation readiness.

Coordinate rig-up, rig-down, mobilisation and demobilisation activities across operational projects.

Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, camp management providers and NMC operational teams.

Supervise yard and field operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of camp activities.

Provide HSE leadership and support safety, compliance, audit and inspection activities across operational sites.

Maintain operational documentation, procedures and compliance requirements, including NHVAS obligations.

Support workforce training, competency and operational readiness.

Monitor project readiness, asset performance and operational outcomes.

Skills & Experience

Experience in a senior operational or supervisory role within Oil & Gas, Resources, Construction, Rail or other remote operational environments.

Mobile camp operations and field experience, with strong contractor management skills.

Proven ability to lead, mentor and support small teams in a dynamic operational environment.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors and operational personnel.

Demonstrated frontline safety leadership and commitment to compliance, risk management and safe work practices.

Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Qualification or equivalent experience in Camp Field Operations, Camp Management or a related discipline.

Current C Class Driver Licence.

4WD training, or willingness to obtain.

Demonstrated WHS awareness and experience working within field-based operational environments.

Relevant industry inductions and certifications highly regarded.
