Job summary

SMS Personnel is recruiting an experienced Yard Hand to join the Maintenance Team at a leading Australian manufacturer of off-road accessories. The role focuses on safe removal and handling of materials, waste management and general yard upkeep to keep operations running smoothly across the site.

You will work day shifts, 7:30am to 3:36pm, with opportunities for long-term career progression and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Forklift license LF and valid driver's license.
• Experience with waste-processing equipment such as compactors.
• Strong understanding of OH&S and environmental requirements.
• Ability to operate mechanical lifting devices and forklift attachments.
• Attention to daily routines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process site waste for disposal and recycling across the site
• Monitor large industrial waste bins
• Conduct mechanical sweeping as needed
• Perform courier driving duties as required
• Provide assistance to Maintenance and Production teams when required

We are looking for an experienced Yard Hand to join the Maintenance Team overseeing the safe removal and handling of materials, waste and general yard maintenance to support smooth operation across the site.

In this role you will be doing:

• Manage and process site waste for disposal and recycling across the site
• Monitor large industrial waste bins
• Conduct mechanical sweeping as needed
• Perform courier driving duties as required
• Provide assistance to the Maintenance and Production teams when required

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Forklift license - LF and driver's license
• Ability to operate waste-processing equipment - cardboard and plastic compactors
• Good understanding of OH&S and environmental requirements
• Ability to use mechanical lifting devices and forklift attachments as required
• Demonstrated drive and can follow daily routines and procedures
