Job summary

CSR is seeking an experienced Yard Superintendent for the Exteriors team at the PGH Bricks site in Oxley, Queensland. You will lead the Yard and Despatch operations, ensuring products are safely stored, accurately dispatched and delivered on time, while building a strong, accountable team culture.

This hands-on role is on-site, with Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. You’ll coach on the floor, drive performance, promote Zero Harm, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Inventory

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or yard.
• Current Forklift Licence (essential).
• Solid understanding of CoR requirements.
• Experience leading teams, with coaching and performance management.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Proficient Excel user.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP is preferred.
• Continuous improvement mindset with Lean/5S exposure.
• Commitment to workplace safety and Zero Harm.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily yard activities, monitor KPIs, and ensure on-time delivery targets are met.
• Manage inventory, stocktakes, and yard operations to maintain efficient, uninterrupted operations.
• Champion safety and CoR compliance within the Zero Harm framework.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Inventory and Logistics to optimise workflow and resolve operational challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

We're looking for an experienced Yard Superintendent to join our Exteriors team at our PGH Bricks site in Oxley. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll lead our Yard and Despatch operations, ensuring products are safely stored, accurately dispatched and delivered on time, while building a strong, accountable team culture.

About the role

This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll spend time on the floor coaching your team, driving operational performance and fostering a workplace where safety, quality and continuous improvement come first.

Full time, Monday – Friday 6am – 2.30pm

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Yard & Despatch team, providing day-to-day supervision, coaching, performance management and accountability to build a safe, engaged and high‐performing workforce.
• Drive operational performance by coordinating daily activities, leading toolbox talks, monitoring production, inventory and dispatch KPIs, and ensuring customer delivery targets are achieved.
• Manage inventory and yard operations, including stocktakes, inventory accuracy, consumable management and resource planning to maintain efficient and uninterrupted operations.
• Champion safety and compliance by fostering a Zero Harm culture, ensuring adherence to WHSE standards, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and CSR's Never Walk Past
• Collaborate across the business with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Inventory and Logistics teams to optimise workflow, improve service levels and resolve operational challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency through Lean principles, while maintaining accurate operational documentation and reporting.

About you

You'll be an experienced frontline leader who enjoys developing people, solving operational challenges and creating a safe, high‐performing workplace.

You'll also bring:

• Proven leadership experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, transport or yard environment.
• Current Forklift Licence (essential).
• Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in people leadership, including performance management, coaching and conflict resolution.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem‐solving skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system (preferred).
• A continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, 5S or other operational excellence methodologies.
• A genuine commitment to workplace safety, Zero Harm and employee wellbeing.
