Job summary

CSR is seeking an experienced Yard Superintendent for the Exteriors team at the PGH Bricks site in Oxley. You will lead the Yard and Despatch operations, coaching a frontline team to safely store, dispatch, and deliver products on time, while building a high-performing, accountable culture.

The role is full-time, on-site with early hours (6am–2:30pm). You’ll drive performance, safety, and collaboration across Manufacturing, Customer Service, Inventory and Logistics to optimise outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven frontline leadership in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or yard settings.
  • Current Forklift Licence (essential).
  • Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
  • Experience leading teams, coaching, performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • MS Excel proficiency (intermediate).
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
  • Lean/5S or similar continuous improvement exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Yard & Despatch team with day-to-day supervision and accountability.
  • Coordinate daily activities to meet production, inventory and dispatch KPIs and delivery targets.
  • Manage inventory/yard operations, including stocktakes and resource planning.
  • Foster a Zero Harm safety culture and ensure WHSE compliance and CoR requirements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Inventory and Logistics to optimise workflow.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and maintain accurate operational reporting.

We're looking for an experienced Yard Superintendentto join our Exteriors team at our PGH Bricks site in Oxley. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll lead our Yard and Despatch operations, ensuring products are safely stored, accurately dispatched and delivered on time, while building a strong, accountable team culture.

About the role

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll spend time on the floor coaching your team, driving operational performance and fostering a workplace where safety, quality and continuous improvement come first.

Full time, Monday – Friday 6am – 2.30pm
Key responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Yard & Despatch team, providing day-to-day supervision, coaching, performance management and accountability to build a safe, engaged and high‑performing workforce.
  • Drive operational performance by coordinating daily activities, leading toolbox talks, monitoring production, inventory and dispatch KPIs, and ensuring customer delivery targets are achieved.
  • Manage inventory and yard operations, including stocktakes, inventory accuracy, consumable management and resource planning to maintain efficient and uninterrupted operations.
  • Champion safety and compliance by fostering a Zero Harm culture, ensuring adherence to WHSE standards, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and CSR's Never Walk Past
  • Collaborate across the business with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Inventory and Logistics teams to optimise workflow, improve service levels and resolve operational challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency through Lean principles, while maintaining accurate operational documentation and reporting.
About you

You'll be an experienced frontline leader who enjoys developing people, solving operational challenges and creating a safe, high‑performing workplace.

You'll also bring:
  • Proven leadership experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, transport or yard environment.
  • Current Forklift Licence (essential).
  • Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in people leadership, including performance management, coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system (preferred).
  • A continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, 5S or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • A genuine commitment to workplace safety, Zero Harm and employee wellbeing.
