Job summary

City Crane Trucks, based in Adelaide, seeks a motivated Yard Hand to keep the yard, trucks and equipment tidy and ready for work. You’ll perform general yard duties, wash and maintain vehicles, assist with loading, and move equipment around the yard.

We value reliability, a safety-first approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A current driver’s licence is highly regarded, with ongoing training and opportunities to grow within a supportive, family-owned

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with safety-focused mindset.

• Current driver’s licence highly regarded.
• Experience in transport/logistics advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• General yard duties and keeping the site clean and organised.
• Wash, clean and maintain trucks and equipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
• Move vehicles and equipment around the yard.
• Follow WHS procedures.
• Provide support to workshop and operations teams as needed.

Job description

As a Yard Hand, you’ll play an important role in keeping our yard, trucks and equipment organised, clean and ready for work.

Key responsibilities

General yard duties and keeping the site clean and organised

Washing, cleaning and maintaining trucks and equipment

Assisting with loading and unloading equipment

Moving vehicles and equipment around the yard

Basic maintenance and upkeep of the yard

Assisting the workshop and operations teams when required

Checking and organising equipment

Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About you

Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Safety-focused and willing to follow instructions

Organised and has good attention to detail

Keen to learn and take on new skills

Previous experience in transport, logistics, warehousing, construction or a similar environment is an advantage, but not essential

A current driver’s licence would be highly regarded

Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Weekly/fortnightly pay
