Job summary

Law Transport is offering a hands-on driving career with structured on-the-job training toward a heavy vehicle licence. Start by keeping the depot and equipment in top condition, assisting with loading, and auditing trailers under guidance with experienced drivers.

You will travel with seasoned drivers to learn preloads, job prep, and real driving skills from day one, supported by a clear career pathway.

• Travel with the Leading Hand and experienced drivers to learn preloads and job preparation

Essential Requirements

• Current Queensland driver licence, with eligibility to progress to a heavy vehicle licence
• Reliable, safety-focused and genuinely keen to build a driving career
• Physically fit for active, outdoor depot work
• Australian working rights

Desirable (or willingness to obtain)

• Forklift and loader licence
• White Card and load-restraint training

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week + 2 x 30-minute paid breaks daily

After 12 Months You Will Have

• Certificate III in Driving Operations
• LF/Forklift licence & experience unloading general freight material
• Loader ticket & experience unloading general freight material
• Stocktaking and stock control management experience
• High-level load restraint experience — roofing iron, steel & mesh, trusses, power poles, general freight
• Experience with cranes, and truck & trailer lengths, widths and weights
• NHVR compliance exposure — fatigue, mass, maintenance
• A real opportunity to move into HR Crane truck driving
