Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd is expanding its North Queensland freight operation and seeks an experienced HC driver to join from day one. You’ll operate a heavy vehicle, complete daily pick-ups and deliveries, and uphold safety and customer service across a growing network from Mackay to Cairns.

You’ll have a current HC licence, a safe driving record, and a proactive approach to loading, documenting and complying with fatigue management and CoR requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Combination (HC) Licence is required.
• Demonstrated experience in pick-up and delivery or general freight operations.
• Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements.
• Ability to safely load, unload and secure freight.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Confidence using electronic proof of delivery and transport system.
• Reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HC vehicle to complete daily pick-up and delivery runs.
• Deliver freight on time and without damage.
• Load, unload and secure freight.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Follow road transport legislation, fatigue management and company procedures.
• Complete delivery documentation and electronic records.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle.
• Work with the operations team to deliver excellent service.
