Job summary

Dahlsens Building Centres Pty in Townsville is seeking a reliable Driver to join our hardware team. You’ll deliver building materials to customers, assist with loading and unloading, and ensure deliveries arrive safely, accurately and on time.

This hands-on role suits someone who is practical, safety-minded, and comfortable building good relationships with customers. A clean driving record and Licence LF (forklift) and DG (Dogging) are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of truck driving experience with a clean record.
• Forklift licence (LF) — essential.
• Licence to Perform Dogging (DG).
• Experience using a vehicle loading crane truck.
• Physically fit and able to handle building materials safely.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident with basic systems and willing to learn new ones.
• Good knowledge of Townsville and surrounding areas.
• Practical, hands-on attitude to keep busy days moving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders safely and on schedule.
• Check goods against run sheets and account for all items.
• Load, move and unload stock safely per WHS requirements.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and team.
• Operate vehicles, plant and equipment safely per company policies.
• Handle products securely so they arrive on site in good condition.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a reliable Driver to join our Townsville Hardware team. You’ll be out on the road delivering building materials to our customers, helping with loading and unloading, and making sure each delivery gets there safely, accurately and on time. This role suits someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work, takes safety seriously, and is comfortable building good relationships with customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
