Bis invites you to start a mechanical trades career in our Tomago workshop, where you’ll work with real equipment and receive structured training toward a recognised qualification. In just two years, you’ll have a clear pathway into an Adult Apprenticeship, supported by experienced tradespeople and a safety‑conscious team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a mechanical, workshop or similar environment.
• Commitment to learning and becoming a qualified tradesperson.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with maintenance, repairs and rebuilds on heavy haulage and mobile equipment.
• Operating forklifts and supporting parts handling/stores functions.
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised and compliant.
• Completing job cards and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Learning the trade directly from experienced fitters, boilermakers and electricians.
