Job summary

RDO Equipment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the workshop. You will nurture a high-performing team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain safety and quality standards while coordinating workflow with Service Technicians and apprentices.

You will be responsible for scheduling training, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting warranty and WIP processes.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory or management experience in a workshop setting.
• Experience with engine overhauls and major repairs including electrical, hydraulic and diagnostics.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Organised and methodical approach to work.
• A current and valid driver's licence; high-risk work tickets/licences are valued.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service, seeking customer feedback, and offering advice to customers over the phone
• Monitoring and managing daily workshop workflow while ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards
• Assigning jobs to Service Technicians and supporting team members with performance, development, and day-to-day operational matters
• Scheduling and conducting in-house training for Service Technicians and apprentices
• Maintaining product knowledge and liaising with the Parts Department as required
• Assisting with the management and resolution of customer concerns and disputes in conjunction with the Service Manager
• Supporting the timely completion of warranty claims and work-in-progress (WIP) requirements
• Reviewing repair work before equipment is released to customers to ensure quality standards are met
• Driving a strong safety culture and leading by example within the workshop
