Job summary

Sadleirs in Perth is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Kewdale workshop, directing a skilled team and supervising maintenance and repairs across a diverse fleet.

You'll set priorities, coordinate preventative maintenance, ensure safety and compliance, and work with internal teams and external service providers to keep equipment available for operations. Strong leadership and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a related industry and ability to lead a team in a busy workshop.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the Perth workshop and set priorities to meet operational demand.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs across fleet including prime movers, trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Ensure quality assurance of maintenance work and verify completed tasks.
• Maintain maintenance compliance documentation and asset registers.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise equipment availability.
• Coordinate third-party service providers for maintenance tasks.
• Manage workshop standards, tooling, and engineering hygiene in line with best practice.
• Support after-hours breakdowns and on-road issues as required.
• Act as the key internal contact for maintenance communication and escalation.
