Job summary

BMD Group is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, ensuring the project fleet is safe, reliable, and operational. You will coordinate servicing and repairs, work closely with project teams, and drive productivity through strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory experience ideally within construction and/or resources
• Workshop maintenance experience ideally within Pilbara
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail with problem-solving ability
• Proven communicator who can lead and influence those around them

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities for mobile construction plant and heavy equipment
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and service routines
• Lead a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff; assign tasks and provide guidance
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, determine repair strategies, and ensure timely resolution
• Monitor equipment condition and reliability; recommend replacements or upgrades
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance protocols
• Manage maintenance records, service histories, parts usage and inspection logs
• Liaise with operations, procurement and OEM suppliers for parts and servicing
• Track maintenance costs and implement cost-saving measures
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop and field maintenance
