DMU Consulting in Sydney is seeking a Workshop Foreman/Senior Diagnostic Technician. You will lead a team of five technicians and apprentices, performing diagnostics across all makes and models and overseeing the foreman duties to ensure service quality.

You will mentor three technicians and two apprentices, explain diagnostic findings to customers in plain language, and collaborate with the service advisor to allocate work. Hybrid/EV training is a plus but not essential.

Workshop Foreman/ Senior Diagnostic Technician

Work in an award-winning workshop where you'll lead a team of 5. You'll deliver quality customer experiences through servicing and repairing vehicles.

Your time splits roughly 50/50 between diagnostic work and foreman duties.

What you'll do

Diagnose faults across all makes and models

Allocate jobs and manage workflow with our service advisor

Quality check completed work before it goes back to the customer

Mentor / assist 3 technicians and 2 apprentices

Explain diagnostic findings to customers in plain language

What you need

Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

5+ years post-trade experience

Hybrid/EV training is a plus, not essential

You'll suit this role if you

Explain a fault to a customer as clearly as you diagnose it

Upskill apprentices instead of working around them

Check your work, and your team's, before it leaves the bay

Are able to manage multiple priorities at once

What we offer

Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. No weekends.

1-hour lunch and 20-minute morning tea
