Job summary

Carlton Automotive, part of the Leondis Automotive Group, is seeking an experienced senior technician who is ready to step into workshop leadership. You’ll start hands-on while gradually learning to run the workshop, with mentoring and support from the wider group.

This hands-on leadership pathway keeps you involved in the technical side of the shop, while you develop management and customer-service skills for future leadership roles.

You've spent years developing your mechanical skills. You're confident diagnosing and repairing vehicles, take pride in your work, and perhaps you've started wondering where your career goes from here.

At Carlton Automotive, we're looking for an experienced senior technician who wants to take the next step towards workshop leadership.

We're the newest of three modern, well-equipped independent workshops within the Leondis Automotive Group, and we're looking for the right person to develop into our next Workshop Manager.

You bring the mechanical expertise. We'll help you develop the rest.

The Opportunity

You'll start as a hands‑on senior technician while progressively learning the skills needed to run a workshop, including:

• Workshop operations and workflow management
• Customer communication and service advising
• Business performance and team leadership

You'll receive mentoring, training and support from our wider group as you develop.

This is a hands‑on leadership pathway, so you'll continue to be involved in the technical side of the workshop.

No previous management experience required.

We're looking for technical ability and leadership potential, not an existing Workshop Manager.
