North East Mitsubishi is seeking an experienced and highly capable Workshop Foreman to provide hands‑on technical leadership to our team of technicians and apprentices.
This is a genuine Workshop Foreman position—not a Workshop Controller role. The primary focus is technical leadership, advanced diagnosis, repair quality, technician development and maintaining high workshop standards. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Workshop Controller to ensure jobs progress efficiently and are completed correctly the first time.
A company vehicle will be provided as part of the remuneration package.

As Workshop Foreman, you will set the technical and professional standard across the workshop. You will support technicians with complex repairs and diagnosis, oversee workmanship, mentor apprentices and help the team achieve strong productivity without compromising safety or quality.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing hands‑on technical leadership to technicians and apprentices
Assisting with the diagnosis and resolution of complex vehicle faults
Conducting quality‑control inspections and road tests where required
Ensuring repairs are completed correctly, efficiently and to a high standard
Ensuring Mitsubishi manufacturer and company standards are consistently achieved
Leading workplace health and safety as the workshop’s highest priority
Ensuring company procedures, policies and safe working practices are followed
Coaching, mentoring and developing technicians and apprentices
Identifying skills gaps and supporting technical training
Promoting accountability, teamwork and pride in workmanship
Identifying opportunities to improve workshop flow, efficiency and productivity
Working closely with the Service Manager and Workshop Controller
Assisting the Workshop Controller with the effective operation of the workshop
Communicating technical findings clearly to Service Advisors and customers when required
To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:
Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding capabilities
Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician, Master Technician or technical team leader
Proven ability to lead, support and develop technicians and apprentices
A/C license will be highly regarded
A strong commitment to repair quality and completing work correctly the first time
Sound knowledge of workshop safety and WHS requirements
The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technicians, management and customers
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
A calm, practical and solutions‑focused leadership style
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team
Mitsubishi experience would be highly regarded but is not essential. Training and ongoing support will be provided to the right applicant.
