You will oversee daily operations, allocate jobs efficiently and mentor technicians to meet manufacturer standards.

This role targets a hands-on leader with diagnostic expertise, strong communication and organisational skills, and a track record of guiding teams in a dealer workshop.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Motor Vehicle Technician.
• Experience as Workshop Controller/Foreman or Senior Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership and team development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of technicians and apprentices.
• Allocate and manage daily workshop workflow to maximise productivity.
• Provide technical guidance and support with complex diagnostics and repairs.
• Monitor repair quality and ensure work meets Isuzu UTE manufacturer standards.
• Liaise with Service Advisors to prioritise work and deliver vehicles on time.

Are you an experienced Automotive Technician or Workshop Foreman ready to take the next step in your leadership career? Penfold Motor Group is seeking a motivated Workshop Controller to lead our Isuzu UTE workshop, driving productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise with your leadership skills, overseeing daily workshop operations while mentoring technicians and ensuring every vehicle is completed to the highest manufacturer standards.

About the Role

As the Workshop Controller, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of workshop operations, ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently, technicians are supported, and service targets are achieved. You'll provide technical guidance, maintain quality standards, and work closely with the Service Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
