Job summary

Peregian Curtains and Blinds in Queensland is seeking a hands-on team member to join our workroom and showroom environment. You will learn how custom curtains, blinds and soft furnishings are prepared, finished and installed in clients’ homes.

No prior experience required; we’ll train you. The role focuses on practical, creative tasks, working closely with an experienced team to maintain showroom presentation and support installation readiness.

Qualifications

• Friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
• Great eye for detail and organisation.
• Interest in interiors, fabrics, sewing or design.
• Willing to learn and take direction.
• Previous experience isn’t essential – training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist our workroom team with finishing curtains and soft furnishings.
• Prepare, check and pack finished products for installation.
• Assist with fabrics, samples and incoming goods.
• Prepare goods and hardware for fitters.
• Help keep the showroom beautifully presented.
• Keep the workroom organised, clean and tidy.
• Support the Coordinator and Director with day-to-day tasks.
• Help wherever needed to keep the team and workroom running smoothly.

This is a varied, hands‑on role and a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn about the curtain, blind and soft furnishings industry while working alongside an experienced team. You'll have the opportunity to learn how beautiful custom curtains, blinds and soft furnishings are created, prepared and installed in our clients' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting our workroom team with finishing curtains and soft furnishings
• Preparing, checking and packing beautiful finished products ready for installation
• Assisting with fabrics, samples and incoming goods
• Preparing goods and hardware for our fitters
• Helping keep our showroom beautifully presented
• Keeping the workroom organised, clean and tidy
• Assisting our Coordinator and Director with day-to-day tasks
• Helping wherever needed to keep the team and workroom running smoothly
