Job summary

Locale Civil in Melbourne is seeking an Assets & Personnel Coordinator to support the efficient allocation of plant, equipment and labour across projects. You’ll coordinate day-to-day asset movements, transport, wet and dry hire, labour requirements and inventory, serving as a link between project teams, operators, drivers, suppliers and internal support functions.

This fast-paced role requires problem solving, juggling priorities and keeping operations compliant and on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, asset coordination or construction operations.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with changing priorities.
• Experience coordinating plant, equipment, transport and labour.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labour across multiple projects and keep rosters aligned to site needs.
• Own end-to-end mobilisation of the workforce, from onboarding to demobilisation.
• Organise site inductions and ensure every worker is cleared before start.
• Track tickets, licences and certifications; flag renewals early.
• Arrange accommodation and travel for crews working away from home.
• Work with subcontractors and labour-hire providers to fill roles quickly.
• Support workforce planning and forecast upcoming labour demand.
• Maintain personnel records and compliance systems.
• Be first point of contact for workforce queries and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Provide light coordination of plant, equipment and transport when needed.
• Identify resourcing pressures or compliance risks early and escalate.
