Queensland Venue Co. Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Wood-Fired Pizza Chef / Chef de Partie who knows their way around a wood-fired oven and is ready to grow beyond service.

You'll master dough preparation, manage your station during busy shifts, and help shape the future as a Junior Sous Chef, learning from top kitchen leaders while delivering exceptional pizzas. Qualifications

• Experience as a pizza chef and operating a wood-fired pizza oven.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality food.
• Reliable, organised, and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas using a wood-fired oven.
• Manage dough preparation, fermentation, stretching, and topping (BIGA and hand stretching pizzas).
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and food preparation.
• Follow food safety standards and kitchen procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the head chef and kitchen team.
