Job summary

The Crafers Hotel, a flagship venue in the Adelaide Hills, is seeking an experienced hospitality leader to run the restaurant’s daily operation, lead with wine education, and drive commercial performance. Reporting to Venue Manager and collaborating with the Beverage Director, you will elevate service standards and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading front-of-house teams in premium hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and international wine regions, producers and styles.
• Relevant qualifications or industry experience in wine, winemaking, viticulture, or professional wine education.
• Proven ability to train, coach and inspire hospitality teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of premium wine sales and beverage performance.
• Exceptional communication and guest engagement skills.
• Ability to balance wine expertise with the practical demands of leading a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the restaurant and champion wine education, commercial performance and guest experiences.
• Oversee wine program: stocktakes, stock control, presentation, and stock requirements.
• Drive premium wine sales and overall beverage performance, achieving wine KPIs.
• Host wine tastings, producer dinners and signature events, with marketing collaboration.
• Coach, mentor and inspire the front-of-house team during service and events.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to deliver operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
