Job summary

The Network Technology Recruitment is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer for a financial services client based in North Sydney. The role blends hands-on Windows engineering with AWS infrastructure and cloud modernization initiatives.

You will automate with PowerShell, manage AD, SSM, S3, and patching, support corporate IT, participate in on-call, and contribute to CI/CD and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows administration / engineering skills (AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, failover clustering, patching)
• Commercial AWS experience with Windows workloads on EC2, SSM, backup, DR
• SCCM / Configuration Manager administration and imaging
• Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure and corporate IT
• PowerShell scripting and automation across Windows Server and AWS
• SRE practices including defining and managing SLOs and error budgets

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows servers running in AWS
• Investigate and resolve performance issues across Windows and cloud infrastructure
• Build and operate Windows-based AWS services including AD replication and storage
• Own service delivery from implementation to production and operations
• Manage AWS SSM, policies and RBAC
• S3 administration and automation through PowerShell
• Maintain runbooks and infrastructure diagrams
• Provide IT support to corporate desktop teams
• VPN administration and Microsoft 365 administration
• Lead incident response with post-mortems and root cause analysis
