Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise and Compute Storage Services team. You will work hands-on with Microsoft Azure and AKS to build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and automate deployments across critical applications.

In this permanent role with flexible working arrangements, you will onboard applications to Cloud Managed Services, support production workloads, improve monitoring, incident response, and security, and drive DevOps practices across

Qualifications

Hands-on Azure with AKS and cloud-native tech is required.
Experience building cloud infrastructure with IaC (Terraform).
CI/CD practices and automation experience.
Knowledge of security, monitoring, and production support.
Experience with Kubernetes and modern delivery practices.
Ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture and security teams.
Experience supporting managed cloud services and onboarding apps.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable cloud platforms on Azure.
Onboard applications into Cloud Managed Services and ensure operational readiness.
Contribute to platform monitoring, incident management, automation and CI/CD.
Manage certificates and secrets; drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with security, architecture and engineering teams to raise reliability.
