Job summary

DTEX Systems is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a strong software engineering background to modernize infrastructure and operations. You will design and implement automation to manage customer environments and enable scale beyond manual operations, applying software engineering principles to build resilient systems.

You will design Python automation for provisioning and config management, advance Terraform usage, and deploy robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong proficiency in Python with clean, testable code.
• Experience with Terraform, including state management and modular design.
• Linux internals and Bash scripting expertise.
• Proficiency with Ansible and/or Saltstack as CM tools.
• Expert level Git workflows and code review practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain Python automation for provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
• Contribute to Terraform adoption with state management, modular design, and version control.
• Use Ansible/Saltstack to ensure consistency across environments.
• Develop robust CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and app deployments.
• Implement and mature monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve reliability.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation focusing on incident response and postmortems.
• Champion SRE principles and automation within the team and org.
