Overview

AWS is seeking Associate Systems Engineers – Windows to support secure cloud infrastructure environments within the AWS Region Services team. This role is responsible for supporting Windows infrastructure, automation, operational systems and large-scale cloud environments across highly secure AWS environments supporting sensitive workloads. The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, collaboration and the ability to operate within fast-paced operational and engineering environments.

The role

As an Associate Systems Engineer – Windows within AWS Region Services, you will support the operation, maintenance and automation of Windows infrastructure environments across AWS cloud services.

• Supporting Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory environments
• Performing system maintenance, updates and patch management activities
• Supporting infrastructure automation and operational tooling initiatives

  Skills and experience

  • Experience in systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration or network administration
  • Experience scripting in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby or similar languages
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting Windows infrastructure and Active Directory environments
  • Experience with automation and tooling for large-scale environments highly regarded
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet or Chef desirable
  • Experience in networking and systems troubleshooting desirable

  Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship required
  • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance
  • Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment
  • Ability to participate in on-call and out-of-hours operational support as required
  • Ability to work within highly secure operational environments
