Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking a Wind Service Technician to ensure safe, efficient operation of wind farms across South Australia and Victoria. Based at the Wattle Point Wind Farm near Edithburgh, SA, the role focuses on hands-on maintenance to sustain reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualification is required/preferred.
• HV certification is preferred for this role.
• Experience with HV/LV systems, hydraulics and mechanical systems in industrial, commercial or residential environments.
• Understanding of wind farm operations and maintenance for safe, efficient performance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, inspection, and monitoring of wind farm assets.
• Prepare work records and reports, including input into SAP.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and safety standards.
• Conduct Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Safety Analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Access Rules and participate in toolbox and safety meetings.
• Receive Access Authorities and progress to Recipient In Charge (RIC) if required.
• Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure safe and high‑quality work.
• Provide and receive on‑the‑job training, mentoring team members to maintain high skill and safety standards.
• Demonstrate AGL values by collaborating across the business and contributing to overall success.
