Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Service Technician to maintain wind turbines across Australia. The role requires electrical, mechanical or hydraulic expertise, on-site work, and travel approximately 50 days per year.

Not FIFO; based in the region with site rotations across WA, SA, VIC, NSW, QLD and TAS, with 8-hour days and weekend on-call on a 3–4 week cycle. Join a global leader in renewable energy, receive technical training, and benefit from a safety-first culture and a competitive benefits package

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic trade with drive to develop skills further.
• Good computer skills and ability to monitor work with documentation.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work to the highest safety and environmental standards and meet service targets.
• Carry out periodic service inspections and replace or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulics components.
• Ensure turbine operation via condition monitoring and remote control tools.
• Maintain service vehicle and warehouse by ordering materials and parts as needed.
• Assemble and service components per standards, using cranes when required.
