Job summary

AGL’s Renewables team at the Macarthur Wind Farm is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of our wind farms across Victoria, supporting a sustainable energy future.

This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and servicing wind farm assets, ensuring reliability, safety, and optimal performance. The Macarthur site comprises 140 wind turbines and 420 MW capacity, a major contributor to clean energy in Australia.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade qualification required.
• HV certification preferred.
• Experience with HV/LV systems, hydraulics or mechanical systems is valued.
• Knowledge of wind farm operations and maintenance is beneficial.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on wind farm assets.
• Prepare work records and SAP inputs.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) systems and safety standards.
• Conduct Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Safety Analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Access Rules and participate in toolbox talks.
• Receive Access Authorities and progress to Recipient In Charge (RIC) when needed.
• Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure safe, high‑quality work.
• Provide and receive on‑the‑job training to maintain high skill and safety standards.
• Collaborate across the business to contribute to overall success.
