Job summary

AGL Energy's Renewables team based at the Macarthur Wind Farm in southwest Victoria is looking for a Wind Turbine Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of wind farms across the region.

This hands-on role focuses on maintenance and servicing of wind turbine assets to ensure reliability, safety and optimal performance. The ideal candidate has an electrical trade qualification, HV experience, and a commitment to working safely at heights.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade qualification is required.
• HV certification is preferred.
• Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, or mechanical systems in industrial environments is desirable.
• Understanding of wind farm operations supports safe, efficient performance.
• Strong time-management and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, and inspection of wind turbine assets.
• Input work records and reports into SAP.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment standards and safety rules.
• Conduct hazard and risk analyses as required.
• Supervise contractors to ensure safe, high-quality work.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentor teammates.
