The Safe Step is seeking a Health & Safety Systems & Assurance Specialist to lead the WHS Management System development and assurance program. This hands-on role collaborates with health and safety, risk, audit and operations to design practical, compliant health and safety processes.

You will shape audit plans, review risk controls, and support improvements in monitoring WHS performance across the business. A strong technical writing background and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience developing, writing and implementing WHS management systems.
• Strong knowledge of WHS risk management and assurance frameworks.
• Experience with audit and verification activities and risk controls.
• Excellent technical writing skills to translate complex requirements.
• Ability to interpret data and apply insights in operations.
• Experience with WHS technology, data and analytics.

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the WHS Management System.
• Develop clear WHS documentation aligned with legislation and standards.
• Maintain the WHS system review program and support changes.
• Monitor legislative changes and translate into business requirements.
• Lead the health and safety assurance plan and annual audit activities.
• Review effectiveness of risk controls and support improvements.
• Support operations in applying WHS requirements.
