Job summary

Dasco Australia Pty Ltd seeks an experienced WHS Manager for our Danks Street, Waterloo high-rise project. The role requires hands-on floor leadership, ensuring trades follow SWMS and safety standards on a busy site.

You will build WHS processes as the project scales, work with the on-site Safety Officer, and report to the Project Manager while coordinating with safety staff. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or environmental management.
• Minimum 3 years in construction safety/environmental role.
• Strong knowledge of safety regs, standards and best practices for construction.
• Excellent communication to lead safety/environmental briefings and meetings.
• Experience building safety processes and systems on scaling sites.
• Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Walk the floor daily and hold trades accountable to SWMS.
• Identify and shut down unsafe work before incidents occur.
• Build and embed WHS processes as the project scales.
• Coordinate with the on-site Safety Officer for coverage and standards.
• Report to the Project Manager and collaborate with EBA safety staff.
• Run inductions, toolbox talks, audits and incident investigations.
• Provide occupational first aid on site.
