Job summary

SA Power Networks is seeking a skilled WHS Advisor to provide specialist health and safety support across projects in South Australia. You will influence safe behaviours, identify risks and ensure compliance with SA Power Networks procedures.

Ideal candidates will bring robust experience in construction safety, strong communication, and relevant certifications. The role supports flexible working arrangements and a focus on work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to provide specialist WHS advice to project managers, employees and contractors.
  • Ability to coach and mentor teams to achieve compliance with WHS legislation and procedures.
  • Strong risk identification and mitigation in operational/construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist WHS support to project managers, employees and contractors.
  • Deliver practical advice and visible safety leadership to ensure compliance.
  • Mentor and coach staff to improve safety behaviours and project delivery.

you will provide specialist work health and safety support to project managers, employees and contractors. Through practical advice, visible safety leadership, mentoring and coaching, you will help ensure operational activities comply with WHS legislation and SA Power Networks procedures.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: You are a confident and collaborative WHS professional who can build credibility in operational and construction environments. You communicate complex requirements in a practical way, influence positive safety behaviours and work effectively with employees, leaders and contractors. Your sound judgement, attention to detail and proactive approach will enable you to identify risk, strengthen compliance and support safe project delivery.

Essential:
  • Training competency (Certificate IV in Workplace Training) or equivalent
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • Current unencumbered SA Driver’s Licence
Desirable:
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction
  • Diploma in WHS.
