Job summary

City of Armadale is seeking a practical WHS Advisor – Operations & Safety Systems to support managers and employees across diverse worksites. The role involves identifying risks, guiding investigations, and improving safety procedures while rolling out a new WHS system.

You will work with the WHS Lead and on-site teams, bringing initiative, organisation, and the ability to tailor safety solutions to varied environments throughout Armadale. The fixed-term contract runs to June 2027.

Qualifications

• Practical WHS experience across diverse environments.
• Strong knowledge of WA WHS legislation and risk management.
• Experience supporting incident investigations and workplace inspections.
• Ability to develop procedures and documentation.
• Strong communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage workload and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Visit operational worksites to help teams identify and manage safety risks.
• Support incident investigations and work with supervisors on corrective actions.
• Review WHS procedures or develop processes to improve safety compliance.
• Assist in implementing the new WHS system across the City.
• Deliver toolbox talks and support Health and Safety Representatives.
