Job summary

SEE Group in Orange, NSW seeks an experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to join our safety-first culture on a major infrastructure project. This contract-based role supports on-site safety, training and compliance across the site.

The position follows an 8 days on / 6 days off roster with FIFO, Local and DIDO options and accommodation available to assist wellbeing and work‑life balance on site.

Qualifications

• Background in WHS, Plant Operation, Civil Construction and Quarry processes.
• Tertiary qualification – Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Management or similar (required)
• Current First Aid/CPR certificate
• Certified drug collector and ICAM certified (desirable)
• Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable Federal and State legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple activities and leading teams.
• Strong communication, planning and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and conducts WHS training, inductions, toolbox talks and pre-start safety briefings for staff and subcontractors.
• Develops training programs on WHS issues including hazard management, incident investigation and manual handling.
• Assist in maintaining accreditations (e.g., FSC, QMS, TMR) held by SEE Group and subsidiaries.
• Comply with SEE Group Integrated Management System policies and procedures.
• Provide specialist on-site health and safety guidance and investigate breaches and incidents.
• Conduct WHS audits and prepare audit reports; close findings and track actions.
• Keep informed of legislative developments and ensure compliance on site.
• Ensure safe operating conditions for plant, equipment and personnel.
