Forklift Services Sydney in Penrith NSW 2750 is seeking a Field Service & Workshop Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The role blends workshop-based repairs with on-site field service across the Sydney region and requires hands-on maintenance and timely support for our clients.

You will diagnose, service, and repair forklifts and heavy equipment, integrating hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• recognised qualification in automotive mechanics, diesel mechanics, or heavy equipment servicing.
• substantial experience in forklift maintenance and repair, or equivalent experience with heavy plant and equipment.
• strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engine mechanics, and electrical systems.
• proficiency with diagnostic equipment and mechanical tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing, maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment at both workshop facilities and client sites
• Conduct routine servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system checks, and component inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
• Repair or replace damaged or worn components including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and lift mechanisms
• Respond to urgent call-outs and provide field service support to minimise client downtime
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all equipment serviced
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair timelines, costs, and equipment conditions
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Maintain workshop equipment and tools in good working order
• Contribute to a safe and professional working environment

Forklift Services Sydney is seeking a Field Service & Workshop Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Penrith NSW 2750, offering a blend of workshop-based repairs and on-site field service work. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing forklifts and related material handling equipment for our diverse client base across the Sydney region. This position is integral to our commitment to providing reliable, high-quality equipment servicing and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional, timely support.

What we're looking for

Recognised qualification in automotive mechanics, diesel mechanics, or heavy equipment servicing

Substantial experience in forklift maintenance and repair, or equivalent experience with heavy plant and equipment

Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engine mechanics, and electrical systems

Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and mechanical tools

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the Sydney region

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work both independently in the field and collaboratively within a workshop team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Problem-solving skills and ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various environmental conditions

Rights to work in Australia.

Can provide a clean driving history.

Have own tools.

Preferred: experience with specific forklift brands such as Toyota, Nissan, Hyster, Yale and Caterpillar

Preferred: certification in forklift servicing or material handling equipment repair
