Job summary

Opal HealthCare in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Wellbeing Manager to lead engagement and wellbeing programs for residents at our care community. You will drive activities that enhance social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and physical wellbeing, helping residents live with purpose and joy.

You will develop tailored activities reflecting residents' interests and partner with families, clinicians, volunteers, and allied health professionals to improve life quality.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience coaching and mentoring teams.
• Experience delivering wellbeing programs, lifestyle activities or community engagement.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Meaningful Life program and create engaging activities for residents.
• Develop wellbeing programs reflecting residents' interests and backgrounds.
• Coach and support wellbeing and care teams to deliver engagement opportunities.
• Partner with residents, families, clinicians, volunteers and allied health professionals to enhance quality of life.
• Coordinate social events and community engagement initiatives.
• Complete wellbeing assessments and develop individual engagement plans.
• Monitor participation, evaluate outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote a culture that supports resident choice, independence and belonging.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Wellbeing Manager to lead the delivery of meaningful engagement, social connection, and wellbeing programs for our residents. Working as part of the Care Community leadership team, you’ll create opportunities that enhance residents' social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and physical wellbeing, helping them live with purpose, connection, and joy every day.

Berrinba Greens Care Community is located just 30 minutes south of Brisbane CBD on a quiet cul-de-sac, our Care Community is set in a garden oasis among peaceful and leafy surrounds.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Meaningful Life program and create engaging activities, events, and experiences for residents
• Develop wellbeing programs that reflect residents' interests, backgrounds, cultures, and preferences
• Lead, mentor, and support wellbeing and care team members to deliver meaningful engagement opportunities
• Partner with residents, families, clinicians, volunteers, and allied health professionals to enhance quality of life
• Coordinate social events, community engagement initiatives, and bus outings
• Complete wellbeing assessments and develop individual engagement plans for residents
• Monitor participation, evaluate program outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Promote a positive culture that supports resident choice, independence, dignity, and belonging

What You'll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Allied Health, Leisure & Lifestyle, or a related field
• Previous leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach and mentor teams
• Experience delivering wellbeing programs, lifestyle activities, events, or community engagement initiatives
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills
• Strong planning, organisation, and time management abilities
• Passion for improving the lives and wellbeing of older people
• Aged care experience highly regarded
• Willingness to complete:
