Job summary

Cheltenham Manor Aged Care in Melbourne is seeking a Wellbeing Assistant to join our compassionate team. This permanent part-time role offers stable, non-rotating shifts and 20.5 hours per fortnight, with Wednesday and Sunday weekend coverage as specified.

You will deliver engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs, support residents’ emotional and social needs, and help plan activities while ensuring safety and confidentiality within a supportive aged care environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Health is required.
• Previous experience in an aged care facility.
• Knowledge of relevant aged care legislation and accreditation standards.
• Positive, self-motivated and adaptable attitude.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs.
• Support residents' emotional, social and recreational wellbeing.
• Encourage participation in activities and community engagement.
• Assist with planning and implementing individual and group activities.
• Monitor and document resident participation and responses.
• Work collaboratively within the Lifestyle and Care teams.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
• Assist with morning and afternoon tea services where required.
• Promote a safe and positive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
