Job summary

All Hills Fencing in Sydney, NSW, seeks a Welder/Fabricator to join our Toongabbie site. You will weld and fabricate metal components, primarily aluminium, following blueprints and client specifications to deliver quality fencing products.

The role requires a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade and at least 2 years of welding experience. You will work on site in our Toongabbie factory and report to the Factory Floor Manager, contributing to timely, high-quality metalwork.

Currently, we need a full-time Welder, who will have the skills and experience to start immediately.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Welder / Fabricator to showcase their creative skills in our Sydney Site. Working in our Toongabbie factory, NSW, you will be reporting to the Factory Floor Manager, delivery quality metal work.

Main Responsibilities

• Proven experience as welder
• Proven experience particularly in aluminium welding
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
• Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Setting up components for welding according to specifications
• Utilising plasma, gas or electric arc in welding metallic and composite materials together
• Heating and dissolving metal parts to obtain molten substance used in welding or extrusion
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

Other Skills Requirements

Some of the basic core tasks this job role will include but not be limited to -

• The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
• Reading plans/drawings
• Manufacturing/creating end products based on clients specifications and drawings
