Job summary

Gonzalez Steel is a structural steel fabrication company in Beresfield, NSW, seeking multiple full-time Boilermakers, Welders & Fabricators to join our team and deliver high-quality fabrication services. Responsibilities include preparing products for cutting, welding and cleaning, crane operation, traceability, packaging for dispatch, and maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates will hold a Trade Certificate in Engineering/Metal Fabrication, have at least 3 years of structural steel

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate in Engineering/Metal Fabrication (post-graduation experience preferred)
• Minimum 3 years experience working with structural steel
• Reliable, with a positive can-do attitude
• Ability to work both within a team and independently
• WHS standards knowledge and safety practices
• Ability to work day and/or afternoon shifts

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for cutting, welding, and cleaning
• Operate overhead cranes to position products
• Maintain traceability of all fabricated and customer-supplied products
• Package products for dispatch to the paint shop
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures

Gonzalez Steel is a structural steel fabrication company that processes 1000 to 5000 tonnes of steel per year. We are conveniently located at the northern end of the Newcastle to Sydney Freeway at our premises in Beresfield.

We're seeking multiple full-time Boilermakers, Welders & Fabricators to join our team to play a vital role in delivering high-quality steel fabrication services to our diverse range of clients.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare products for cutting, welding, and cleaning
• Operate overhead cranes to position products
• Maintain traceability of all fabricated and customer-supplied products
• Package products for dispatch to the paint shop
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures

What We're Looking For:

• Trade Certificate in Engineering/Metal Fabrication (post-graduation experience preferred)
• Minimum 3 years experience working with structural steel
• Reliable, with a positive can-do attitude
• Ability to work both within a team and independently
• Riggers Ticket (desirable)
• Forklift License (desirable)
• Reliable transport (current driver's license preferred)
• Knowledge of WHS industry standards and safety practices
• Ability to work day and/or afternoon shifts
