Job summary

Meridian Industries is looking for a motivated Welder (First Class) to join their team in Wetherill Park, NSW. This full-time role requires reading drawings and job sheets, and performing welding and fabrication tasks.

You will prepare materials, maintain records, and uphold safety standards while contributing to production on the shop floor. Salary is AU$70,000–AU$80,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding experience including aluminium, MIG & TIG.
• Ability to read and interpret job sheets and drawings.
• Knowledge of Work Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Repair and maintenance to trucks or vans; coordinate production task operations.
• Perform production line welding, prepare materials for welding, cutting, or fabrication.
• Maintain records of work orders and materials used.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and minimize hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review drawings, and job specifications to determine work requirements.
• Repair and Maintenance to trucks or vans Coordinate the production task operations as per the
• Work Instruction, in a manner that meets the size, volume and timelines specified Perform production line assembly and welding Prepare material for welding, cutting or fabrication.
• Maintain records of work orders and materials used.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment Minimize exposure to hazards to prevent incidents and injuries to the greatest possible extent

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• At least 2 years relevant working experience in General welding, Aluminium, Mig & Tig
• Ability to read and understand job sheets and drawings, reading instructions and take direction.
• Work Health Safety (WHS) knowledge
