Job summary

Sherry Consultant Services Pty is seeking a Welder (First Class) for a permanent, full-time role in Drouin, Victoria. The successful candidate will join a skilled team to fabricate and weld components for truck chassis and bodies, using GTAW and plasma cutting tools, in a safety-focused environment.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of welding experience, be able to read blueprints, and work from detailed drawings while adhering to WH&S requirements. Salary aligns with AUD 79K–80K package.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant welding qualification and at least 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine appropriate welding equipment.
• Fabricate and weld carbon steel skid plate parts of the truck chassis.
• Fabricate aluminium truck chassis and body per drawings.
• Weld plate stainless using GTAW.
• Repair welding defects from body to chassis.
• Cut aluminium with plasma cutter, circular saw and angle grinder.
• Work within WH&S requirements.

We are now looking for a Welder (First Class) who can work in a team environment, has a relevant qualification and at least 5 years' experience in a similar role. We are offering $79K - $80K Job responsibilities but no limited too:

• Reading blueprints and drawings
• Taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determining the appropriate welding equipment
• Fabricating and welding carbon steel skid plate parts of the truck chassis
• Fabricating aluminium truck chassis and truck body according to technical drawings
• Welding plate stainless using GTAW process
• Repair some welding defects from body to chassis
• Cutting some aluminium plate by using plasma cutting machine, circular saw and angle grinder
• Work within WH&S requirements
