Job summary

EMH Industries is seeking an experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will perform MIG and TIG welding, read drawings and comply with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated practical experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Competency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG and other welding processes on various metal components and structures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Prepare, cut, shape and position metal components for welding and fabrication.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and associated tools.
• Weld, join and repair metal components using appropriate welding techniques.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure required quality and specifications are met.
• Carry out grinding, finishing and general fabrication work as required.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

Job description

EMH Industries is seeking an experienced and reliable Welder (First Class) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will undertake a range of welding and metal fabrication work and will be required to work accurately from drawings and specifications while maintaining high standards of workmanship and workplace safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG and other welding processes on various metal components and structures
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications
• Prepare, cut, shape and position metal components for welding and fabrication
• Set up and operate welding equipment and associated tools
• Weld, join and repair metal components using appropriate welding techniques

• Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently

About you

• Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, or equivalent; or relevant industry experience demonstrating an equivalent level of skills
• Demonstrated practical experience in welding and metal fabrication
• Competency in MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good knowledge of welding procedures, materials and fabrication methods
• Ability to work accurately with attention to quality and detail
• Strong workplace safety awareness
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
