Job summary

Sherry Consultant Services, based in Drouin, Victoria, is seeking a Welder (First Class) with 5+ years of experience for a permanent full-time role. You will read blueprints, plan layouts, select welding equipment, and fabricate carbon steel skid plates and aluminium truck chassis per drawings.

Responsibilities include welding stainless with GTAW, repairing defects, and cutting aluminium with plasma, saws, and grinders while adhering to WH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and drawings to determine layout and procedures.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar welding role.
• Fabricate and weld carbon steel skid plate parts per technical drawings.
• Fabricate aluminium truck chassis and truck body per drawings.
• Welding plate stainless using GTAW process.

• Reading blueprints and drawings
• Taking measurements to plan layout and procedures

• Fabricating and welding carbon steel skid plate parts of the truck chassis
• Fabricating aluminium truck chassis and truck body according to technical drawings

• Repair some welding defects from body to chassis
• Cutting some aluminium plate by using plasma cutting machine, circular saw and angle grinder
• Work within WH&S requirements
