Job summary

Auto Ingress Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced First Class Welder to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis in Brisbane. The role covers preparation, fabrication, welding and finishing of metal components in accordance with drawings and job requirements.

You will need trade qualifications in welding or fabrication, experience with metal fabrication and welding techniques, and the ability to read technical drawings. A strong commitment to health and safety is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• Select, clean and prepare metal stock for fabrication and welding
• Measure, mark and cut metal sections and shapes using hand tools, cutting equipment and machinery
• Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools
• Align and position components using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Join metal sections using appropriate welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• Inspect completed welds for bead width, penetration, accuracy and overall quality
• Clean, grind and smooth welds and completed components
• Finish fabricated products by polishing, filing and other finishing techniques

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality welds
