Job summary

Ron Finemore Transport in Wodonga, Victoria, is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our maintenance team. This permanent, full-time role offers an attractive hourly rate, flexi time, monthly safety incentives, superannuation and overtime, with weekly pay.

You will work on a modern heavy vehicle fleet, interpret plans, fabricate and repair metal components, mentor apprentices, and uphold safety standards in a supportive workshop environment. Relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3, Trade certificate/qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
• Experience maintaining heavy trailer equipment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Current HC/HR driver's license an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain welding equipment in a heavy vehicle workshop.
• Interpret plans and drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Fabricate and repair metal components and structures.
• Produce clear digital repair order reports with work prioritisation.

This is a permanent full-time position is based at our Wodonga Site Maintenance Facility in Northeast Victoria.

As a welder /Fabricator with Ron Finemore Transport you will join our professional fleet and maintenance team responsible for maintaining and repairing our modern heavy vehicle fleet and trailer equipment.

Relocation Support or a sign on bonus will be provided for the right applicant. (T&Cs Apply)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain welding equipment.
• Understand plans and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
• Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures.
• Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports, detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
• Provide support and mentor apprentice technicians.
• Maintain safe work practices and high quality workmanship
